Nutritious Food Workstream Goal: Increase access to affordable, nutritious, local food by 50% by 2025
Under the Nutritious Food Workstream, we want to create a “smart” food system that ensures food security and healthier outcomes—a system that recognizes equity and dignity for all, better manages food resources to serve a diverse and vibrant community and celebrates the importance of good food in our everyday lives.
We're currently working on projects that include:
- Assessing the Guelph‐Wellington food environment
- Creating a circular food security and health action plan
During COVID-19, we have also been working as a network to support food relief organizations in Guelph-Wellington and helping coordinate actions to support vulnerable residents.
If you're passionate about making sure everyone is eating enough and eating better, please join our group so we can keep you updated and get your input!
