Guelph-Wellington Community Agriculture Challenge

Guelph-Wellington Community Agriculture Challenge

$20,000 in grants available for small-scale community food growing initiatives

Apply by October 17, 2022

How might business, not-for-profits and individual community members use circular thinking and community agricultural practices to improve community connection and resilience by increasing production of nutritious food in Guelph-Wellington?

Community Agriculture is the practice of cultivating, processing and distributing food in an effort to increase community food security, supporting the land and local economies, while increasing social connection.

Guelph-Wellington Community Agriculture Challenge is a call for projects, offering a total of $20,000 in funding (up to $2,000 each to 10 projects) to implement ideas and projects that support circular economic recovery, accelerate food production, and get more food to the table with less environmental impact.

Applications are being accepted from July 29, 2022 until October 17, 2022 for the 2023 growing season.

Our program guide provides full details on funding, a sample application and project timelines.
