Have your say on a new community garden proposed for Oak Street Park
A new community garden is proposed for Oak Street Park. Located between Oak and Hickory Streets, Oak Street Park is just a few minutes walk from the intersection of Gordon Street and Stone Road. In fall 2020, a group of residents from the surrounding neighbourhood requested a community garden for the park and we’re considering it for spring 2021.
Two possible locations within the park have been identified and we’d like input on the proposal to help us decide how to proceed.
We’d like to know how:
• You feel about a community garden in the park
• Your thoughts on the two locations being considered in the park
• If the garden is approved, whether you’d be interested in participating
• Any other ideas or comments you have about community gardens or this proposal.
Your feedback will help us determine if the proposed garden will benefit park users and the neighbourhood. Once we’ve reviewed the all the input we’ll let everyone know how we’ve decided to proceed.
