Workstream Goal: Increase circular economic value by 50% by 2025 by recognizing the value of “waste”
Our workstream aims to to reimagine, reuse and revalue the inputs and outputs of our food ecosystem—maximizing their use, eliminating waste, optimizing economic value and reducing negative environmental impacts.
Our work going forward will include:
- Developing and sharing circular business tools and services for food loss & waste prevention
- Launching a “reimagine food” campaign to educate and empower residents
- Increasing the circularity of carbon credits in the food system
- Increasing circularity in municipal waste systems to drive innovation along the food value chain (see upcoming Residential Waste Data Technology Challenge)
