GR365N, Royal City Church and Hope House want to build a community hydroponic system to support food relief programs.

Our project is to design create and build a community hydroponic system to help support the patrons who frequent Royal City Church and Hope House food Programs. Recently it has been announced in Guelph that after decades the Drop In Centre will no longer be providing food programs for marginalized individuals living in the downtown core.

Hope House and Royal City Church are positioning themselves to fill the needs that will be left in the community. Royal City Church expects that individuals accessing their food programs will at least double. Currently there is no allocated budget while these programs rely on donation.

GR365N would like to team up with Hope House to create, design, implement and maintain a hydroponic system that can help guarantee access to fresh hyper local foods and also provide training opportunities around vertical farming.

This system will be designed for Leafy greens, Microgreens and Kale as all of these have high nutritional value.
